The big day at your clients' events: slideshow, messages, moderation
On the day, the album becomes a tool in the room: a slideshow that fills up live, scrolling guest messages, a moderation queue to watch. Here is the setup and the right reflexes.
Before guests arrive
- In the settings, check that "Uploads" are open, that the moderation mode is the one agreed, and that the message wall is enabled if planned.
- Start the slideshow on the venue's screen.
- Put up the posters and printed items carrying the QR code: entrance, tables, bar.
- Make a test upload from your phone, check it appears on screen, then remove it from the thank you page.
- Split the roles: who sets up the screen, who moderates, who makes the announcements.
Preparing the album is covered in the guide to one album per client.
The slideshow on the venue's screen
It opens from the host space, on a computer connected to a TV or a projector. Each photo sent appears on its own within seconds, without reloading, and new ones jump the queue.
- Full screen: F key. Previous, pause, next: arrow keys and Space. Title: T key. Messages: M key.
- Speed: 3, 6 (default), 10, 15 or 20 seconds. Move to 10 or 15 seconds during dinner.
- Videos play without sound, so they never cover the music or a speech.
Turn off sleep mode and keep the computer plugged in. Details in the guide to the live slideshow.
The message wall and its emergency cut
Once enabled, the wall shows guests' messages at the bottom of the slideshow, signed with their first name: 140 characters at most, no links accepted, rate limited per device. The banner changes every 8 seconds, and each message goes through moderation according to the album's mode.
If the wall goes wrong, the cut button in the host space empties the banner on every screen instantly and blocks new messages. "Bring the wall back" restores it. Make sure the person moderating knows where it is.
Moderating from your phone
A projected screen is seen by the whole room. In Soft mode (the default), the obvious is blocked, doubtful items are sent to you, the rest goes live. In Strict mode, nothing appears without approval: the careful choice for a corporate evening, provided someone approves continuously.
The review console is designed for a phone: one card per doubtful item, with its reason, and two buttons, "Publish" or "Discard". The queue updates live.
If an analysis service is unavailable, the content waits for your decision: it is never published or rejected automatically.
The network and the announcement
If the venue's network is saturated, uploads resume on their own, even if the guest closes the tab, and a resumed upload never creates a duplicate. Just say: "If it is slow, leave it be."
A short announcement at the start of the drinks reception multiplies uploads:
"Lea and Karim would love to keep all your photos from tonight. Scan the QR code on the tables with your phone, choose your photos and videos, and they are sent. No app, no account. They will appear right here, on the screen."
